bioheros!

My birthday falls on July 11th making my brain part being the amygdala and my neurotransmitter being norepinephrine . An interesting thing about norepinephrine is that it is used in the body as both a neurotransmitter and a hormone. My hero used to be a normal boy named Michael Stevens, but as he got his powers his superhero name was Scaredy Cat. Michael Stevens always used to be scared of everything no matter what it was.  He used to sleep with more nightlights than most stores would carry, and would nearly have a heart attack every time he would walk past the school bullies. This extreme fear led him to be excluded from most of his society, as he couldn't bring himself to try new experiences out of fear for things going wrong. One day this all changed when he was startled by a firework and fell down the stairs. He awoke in the hospital and was immediately frightened by the needles and suddenly found himself out of the hospital. As he started to get into scary scenarios, he fo...

Memory!

1st Test http://faculty.washington.edu/chudler/puzmatch.html This test works by showing 20 pictures and giving you 30 seconds to memorize them. After the time is up, you write down the pictures you remember and check once you are done. On this test, I got 11 out of the 20 pictures(the ones circled above), which is close to half of them. This led me to think that I am close to the average for short term memory. I think that this is pretty valid because I have a better memory than many of my friends, but I am still far behind some of the others. 2nd Test https://www.memorylosstest.com/free-short-term-memory-tests-online/ This test was testing also testing my short term memory, but it did this differently from my last test. It would show pictures of nature, and have me click the picture if it was repeated. This went on for around a minute and a lot of new pictures would be introduced. My accuracy score fell short of the requirement for a good memory which was 90%. However, my re...

Politics And Personality!

I generally don't have an interest in politics because I never get exposure to the stuff. I don't really know which candidates support my views about some of the problems faced in society today, such as climate control, and immigration. This led to doing these types of quizzes being a first for me and helped me gain a little bit more understanding of the world of politics.  My first quiz was  http://www.politicalcompass.org/  . The information given by the end of the quiz was super interesting because it had many of the biggest leaders of the world spread out throughout many different governing types. It helped show me that there is no single best government type and that all of them had a significant degree of influence at some point. My dot was the closest to Gandhi, and I felt like that was true, as I favor liberalism more than authoritarianism but not by a huge margin. The second quiz helped fit me more into either democrat or republicans.  http://www.p...

icebreaker!!

This picture is of me going to Science Bowl Nationals back in 8th grade, and us doing a coding competition at the event. They had flown us out to Washington D.C. for free, and let us tour the memorials and the National Mall. This experience truly was one of the most fun things that I have gone through, and I got to meet lots of new people from different states. 4 truths 1 lie 1. I was in a youtube video with more than 1 million views. 2. I have never watched any type of Star Wars before. 3. I am not a big fan of Indian food. 4. I watched all 8 seasons of Game Of Thrones within a week. 5. I've broken 6 bones so far.
